Swarthmore is committed to providing summer housing to students pursuing on-campus or local summer opportunities — or who simply have nowhere else to go. Due to the demand for summer housing and essential deferred maintenance projects, on-campus housing for Alumni Weekend will be limited this year. We anticipate that we will not be able to provide on-campus housing to all those who would like it, although we assure you that every available on-campus room will be used.
With this in mind, on-campus housing will be restricted to those guests purchasing a full weekend reunion package; on-campus housing is not available with the Saturday only package or a la carte registration. In addition, due to construction, family suites (dorm rooms with one or more connecting rooms) are not available for Alumni Weekend 2026.
Housing is only available at a flat rate for the weekend and includes both Friday and Saturday nights. Standard on-campus dorms are $130 per person ($65 per night), while limited discounted housing is available at Mary Lyon Hall (off-campus) for $100 per person ($50 per night). Housing is complimentary, but not guaranteed, for the Class of 1976, and includes an additional night (Thursday, Friday, and Saturday). Rooms are assigned on a first-come, first-served basis; if you would like to stay on campus during Alumni Weekend, please plan to register early. We encourage you to consider staying off-campus in one of the hotels listed on our accommodations webpage or in a short-term rental. As a reminder, on-campus housing is limited to basic dorm rooms, which have only the bare essentials: two sheets, one pillow and pillowcase, one blanket and two towels. Bathrooms are communal, and rooms with private baths are not available. Please note that most dorms do not have air conditioning.
